“CORNERED” is a physical experience of two bodies encountering each other within a space and within themselves. When these two bodies meet there are moments of high intensity and moments of no currency, all the while still achieving synthesis. Through intense physical work outlining the balance between empathy and struggle achieved by two bodies trying not to betray themselves in the search for a necessary mutual understanding.
“CORNERED” was premiered at the Antidote Festival and was presented at Holland Dance DanceAble and as part of Mixed Doubles at Holland Dance festival in Korzo Theater, The Hague.
In 2021 CORNERED is part of Mixed Doubles, produced by Holland Dance Festival, as part of the Europe Beyond Acces, a network co-founded by the Creative Europe a programme of the European Union. As a partner within the international Europe Beyond Access program, Skanes DansTeater, Onassis Cultural Centre, Oriente Occidente and Holland Dance Festival convincingly bring inclusion dance into the limelight.
The premiere of Mixed Doubles was in The Hague in 2020, In 2021 the tour continues to Kalamata Dance Festival in Greece, Oriente Occidente in Italy and in Malmö, Skånes DansTeater.
